How to facilitate the process of mixing concrete. A little trick, time-tested
Construction work is not always limited to the creation of large structures and the construction of houses. Very often it is the need to concrete small volumes, such as garden paths or steps.
For such work, a whole machine with ready-made concrete is not required. The solution will need to be done in a small amount on your own. It's good if you have a concrete mixer. With its help, it will not be difficult to mix any amount of concrete. But not many people have a concrete mixer, so the concrete is mixed manually.
Manual mixing of concrete is a rather complicated process. No, not difficult in terms of technology, but difficult in physical terms. It requires power and a lot of time.
Several years ago, I read a simple piece of advice on the Internet for a long time, which helped me save time and energy when mixing concrete. Today I decided to share it with you. You may think that this is too simple, and there is no trick here. But when you need to mix concrete by hand, and you have the opportunity to try this method in life, you will understand how much easier it is to work this way.
In any case, in order to mix the concrete efficiently, you will have to work hard.
How can you make this time-consuming process of manual concrete mixing easier?
Select the correct container for mixing concrete. It should be comfortable and wide. A trough or an old metal bathtub is perfect as such a container. In such a container, the cement will mix better, and the cement milk will envelop the concrete components, which will make the solution of the highest quality.
Cover the ingredients of the solution in layers. This will make it easier to mix them. And it is better not to fill up the sand all at once. Without sand, the solution will be easier to mix. Add sand at the end. At the same time, you can adjust the density and elasticity of the concrete.
So, now the drum roll... Replace the shovel with which you usually mix concrete with a garden hiller (hoe).
You can't even imagine how much this replacement will ease your work. The hiller is a lighter tool and, how to say - "maneuverable")) Using a hoe for weeding, and not a shovel, you will completely change the principle of mixing the solution. You don't have to pick up concrete, lift a shovel, or turn it over. You just need to make forward and backward movements.
I like to repeat that all ingenious is simple. This is the same case when, it would seem, a trifle completely changes the work process, saving time and effort.
