The wife was speechless when I made the kitchen set after seven years of waiting

Greetings.

Last week I installed myself a kitchen set that I made in the summer. I called my wife to look at the result and her reaction made me happy: admiration flashed through the gases and she ran away for the phone to take a picture and share with her friends.

This story really began about 7 years ago. At that time, I made a frame extension to our old house.

Really old. Today this house is already 98 years old.

A kitchen set was also planned then. But, then one thing, then another, in general, the production was delayed.

That same summer I decided to build and install a kitchen no matter what.

The stages of this work could be observed through the publications on the channel.

The cases were made of plywood. The edging was glued to the plywood from oak. I painted it with colored varnish and matched the color to the color of the facades, which are also made of oak. So is the countertop.

And we managed to buy an oak last year. In our region, it does not grow, but only a few companies carry it and the price tag "bites" - more than 80 thousand rubles per cubic meter. True, you can buy at least one board.

One firm offered an oak edged block, two meters long at 47,000 per cubic meter, although at least one cubic meter was sold.

I figured that I needed a lot of furniture in my house and therefore took a cubic meter.

The walls in my house are wooden and even. It is convenient to hang the upper cabinets on such walls on a "French suspension" or simply - this is a strip of plywood cut at an angle.

Marked and hung quickly and easily.

Last of all, the wall panel and the hood were made.

For the wall panel, I cut narrow oak planks and glued them onto 6 mm plywood.

Built-in hood. I closed the front part of the hood with a facade, which is rigidly fixed to the shelf and simply serves as a decorative element. Next, there are a couple of shelves around the box with a ventilation duct.

The hood is connected inside the box and at the top part of the box turns to access the socket. Below this moment is shown in an overview video on the manufacture of this kitchen.

There are still a couple of finishing touches left - the cornice on the top of the cabinets and in the cabinet with the hood I plan to make balustrades on the shelves.

For those who are interested, I propose a list of publications on some stages of making this kitchen.
