How to make an anti-freeze water intake for a summer residence: 2 practical schemes
Having your own summer cottage, it is inconvenient to carry water in buckets through all the rooms. To simplify the situation, it will not be superfluous to install a water intake.
Unfortunately, in winter, the efficiency of water extraction decreases. Due to the subzero temperature, it quickly freezes. To avoid this, it is necessary to design the water intake according to the diagrams below.
And which one is right for you - decide for yourself.
First practical scheme: 2 ball valves
Ball valves are installed on one tube at once in the amount of 2 pieces. One tap is installed in the house. Another crane is installed outside.
To insulate the pipe in the wall, you must use polypropylene. This is a prerequisite for the organization of non-freezing water intake.
If you want to avoid water retention in the pipe, it is recommended to install the pipe through the wall with a slope towards the street.
There is a possibility of modernizing the structure. But you need to understand that this type of insulation will consume additional electricity. For better insulation, polypropylene can be combined with a heating cable. It works from an electrical outlet. Consumption approx. 40 W / h
A second practical scheme: stem extension
This scheme is identical to the first design in its structure. The only difference is that one single tap is installed inside the house.
The only problem that arises is the output of the crane switch to the street. This can be accomplished by using an additional cutout in the wall to accommodate the swing arm.
To reduce the size of the hole in the wall, it is possible to install a solenoid valve instead of a ball valve. This way, you don't need a large hole for the switch lever. When installing the solenoid valve, the wire goes through the wall to the control button.
A curved rigid pipe that exits the street through the wall can also be replaced with a flexible one. Flexible liner simplifies the frost situation. You can simply pull the tube over the wall and leave it indoors.
