The gypsies begged to sell them old pillows. Why do they need them?
Today, in our small and quiet village, a loud event happened - gypsies came to visit us. Moreover, it was literally loud, almost from every yard one could hear annoying chatter and swearing. My house was not spared either, but I met them in advance at the gate, not even letting them into the yard. A few minutes of heated arguments with the restless gypsy - she gave up and quickly dragged herself to the next house, dragging the child in her arms and loudly cursing me... But what surprised me was that she begged me for old pillows. What for?
The neighbor answered my question
A few minutes later, we were already standing with a neighbor near our houses (he was also able to quickly dismiss the gypsy woman) and discussed this event. And, as it turned out, the gypsies do buy old pillows and resell the fluff, earning themselves a pretty penny. But this is just an excuse to get into your house, and there is already a matter of technology - either they steal everything that lies badly while the owner is distracted, or the owner himself gives up his savings, believing in all the prophecies of the gypsy woman.

Gypsies are considered second (or even third) class people, but what cannot be taken away from them is their persuasion skill. They are great at guessing different facts about people just by looking at their house and noticing all sorts of little things - and this works great with country people.
A couple of years ago, such a gypsy stole the entire pension from an elderly woman, declaring right from the doorway that she was under the curse of loneliness. And I got to the point - the woman has three adult children, but they visit her once a year, or even less often. As a result, she herself gave the gypsy all her money to remove the curse, and then she told us that every word of the gypsy was about her and very accurately, as if she really saw her fate. The children did not come more often, but that woman still believes in the words of the gypsy and does not want to admit that she was simply deceived ...
