Why do I always lower the toilet lid before flushing?
The first toilet bowl saw the light back in 1596 and made it for Queen Elizabeth I. But lids for toilet bowls began to be made later, but even in your distant times, people knew what they were for.
Today, the toilet is available to any person, but many of them are made either without a lid at all, or they never use it and believe that it is not necessary. Even advertisements show how a mother and daughter are looking into the toilet with enthusiasm when they flush the toilet paper sleeve ...
Is that the question to close the lid or not?
Some microbiologists became interested in this topic and conducted study, which finally put an end to this issue. It turned out that when the water is drained in the toilet bowl with the lid open, an aerosol column rises up to 2 meters, consisting of air and small particles of your natural deposits. And they even came up with a romantic name for this phenomenon - "toilet train".

Further, these very particles scatter around your bathroom and settle on various things, from towels and bathrobes to your own toothbrush. Of course, there are few particles and they cannot be seen with the naked eye, but they accumulate and multiply perfectly (all the more, many people change the brush no more than once a year!). What to do? And everything is very simple, this problem was solved back in the 17th century - they invented a toilet lid. True, at that time they made it to get rid of unpleasant odors, but it is still needed today. I hope now you will not admire the whirlpools in the toilet 😉
