How my other Sasha and I decorated the wall with pieces of wood. Original design idea: quick and easy!
I am a creative person. And I really don't like being in boring white walls. They really oppress me! Therefore, you always want to bring to #design premises "zest".
Some time ago I rented an office for work. Nice light spacious office. But too dreary for my creative nature.
The office was just white walls. I wanted to diversify them. And there was #idea:why not decorate one of the walls with wood? I like to say: once the "grain" is sown in the head, it is necessary to "germinate" it!
I called my friend Sasha for help to discuss the project and start implementing it!
The project was discussed. But they could not get down to it! It is very difficult for two working people to dock their free time for #hobby and #creativity. Therefore, I started the preparation myself.
First you had to create background part. Since the office was not my personal, but rented, the important point was that the decorative part of the wall, if necessary, should be easily dismantled.
This is what I did!
First built carcass from bars with a plywood base. I fixed the frame to the wall. And in two layers I painted the background with black paint. It turned out very stylish.
I already imagined how great our "pieces of wood" would look on it.
But we didn't have any "pieces of wood" yet. We had to get them with our own hands) Having agreed and choosing a day off, we still managed to get out into the forest with Sasha!
The weather was excellent! While our families were walking through the forest, Sasha and I began work on the extraction of decor - round cuts. We saw what we wanted! Then we went home!
The saw cuts were laid out, dried - blanks were made. You can open it with varnish!
When everything was dry, we fixed our decorative "pieces of wood" to the wall using mounting glue!
It seems to me that it would be very beautiful and stylish to decorate an office or a children's room by laying out such cuts in the shape of the continents and placing them like on a world map! It would be great! But this requires more space!
We watched, admired! It turned out very cool! But realizing that something is missing, decided to add backlighting! And the wall was ready!
With warmth I remember this little design project of ours! And they worked and had fun then to glory!
This is where we play the Jedi)))
A little later, against the background of this wall, we filmed video clips in which we talked about construction and materials. But the project didn't go ...
Now I've decided to share this story and creativity in my new project "Builder's Blog"
