How can you make small sculptures out of wood with your own hands?

Greetings.

In a recent article I talked about my drill and the possibility of using it when working with wood.

Here I propose to look at one of the ways to make small wooden figures using a jigsaw and a drill.

The shape for such figures is first cut out on a jigsaw. (scroll through the gallery)

Next, you need to remove excess protrusions and smooth out all the corners. This can be done with a drill. (scroll through the gallery)

Next, using sandpaper, the figure is sanded.

Then you can continue to sand by hand, increasing the number of sandpaper, or you can mechanize a little.

This is what happens after such processing.

And finally, walk over the figure with felt.

For finishing, the figurine can be coated with oil.

Templates for making such figures can be drawn by yourself or you can search on the Internet. for example here you can find several similar patterns.
