An elderly woman made an inexpensive renovation of her kitchen - there were some mistakes

Any hostess knows how important order and comfort in the kitchen is. When there is no normal repair in it, then cleaning with cooking does not bring the proper pleasure.

The old lady's kitchen wasn't all that terrible. But due to the open spaces at the bottom, not the most successful arrangement of household appliances in a small area, there was a feeling of a kind of mess.

There were few cabinets, the worktop was much higher than the gas stove, the refrigerator was at the very entrance and significantly interfered.

The woman saved up for a long time for repairs. Even taking into account the budget execution itself, a lot of money was still required.

It was necessary to replace the kitchen set, redo the walls, buy a new sink and other plumbing fixtures.

But the long-awaited hour has come and renovation work began in the kitchen.

This is how she became after:

The floors and ceiling were not touched - there was no significant need for this. There is a laminate on the floor, its condition is still quite good.

The ceiling was simply refreshed with whitewash on top.

The kitchen set is composed of two colors - light beige on top, gray on the bottom. The shades are neutral and quite pleasant.

The tabletop was made to look like gray wood. For the apron, we bought a cheap tile that matched very well in color.

The sink is the simplest, metal, but quite comfortable. The slab was moved away from the window. A refrigerator took its place. There it is clearly much more comfortable.

A hood finally appeared over the stove. There are noticeably more cabinets. Due to this, order was immediately formed - all the little things are now hidden.

The microwave oven remained in its place - on the windowsill. The dining table was not changed either - the old round table is quite normal and very comfortable. The wall near the dining area was decorated with wallpaper imitating a gray brick, the battery was sealed with a neat screen.

Yes, it is clear that the renovation is inexpensive. But this is not the main problem. And in how they put the stove. First, it is free-standing. It is clear that the hostess was saving, but the stove is the case when it is worth spending a little money.

Firstly, the built-in hob looks much more beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. Secondly, it is much more hygienic - there are no gaps where food drops and debris will constantly fall.

The second problem with this stove is that it is below the countertop. This difference in height looks ugly and literally "cuts" the space, visually reducing it.

Even in the photo, the gaps on the sides of the stove are clearly visible, where food debris will soon begin to accumulate - it will be simply impossible to clean it out of there without moving the stove away. This, in turn, will lead to unsanitary conditions and may attract various insects.

The case when it was worth digging a little more and buying a built-in stove.

Otherwise, everything turned out well. Although budgetary, but cute. Although, in my opinion, a countertop in the color of the floor would have looked better. But this is already a matter of taste. As for the stove, the problem here is not in tastes, but in functionality.
