Savings in the family. I made a fashionable sofa myself, it turned out 4 times cheaper than a store one
A practical sofa was needed in the kitchen. In the store, such furniture was quite expensive. The owner decided to save the family budget and set about creating his own furniture masterpiece. Having drawn a plan, having prepared all the necessary materials, the guy took up a difficult task.
The result is disastrous: all members of the family are still in a state of shock. First, we managed to achieve fourfold savings. Secondly, it turned out no worse than a store product.
The sofa was planned in a corner version. The color of the upholstery is black, and the material is artificial leather, which has a special margin of safety. The first stage included the assembly of the wooden frame; it was the skeleton of the future product.
The main components were cut according to previously prepared templates. Plywood is easy to process, it is possible to cut any geometric shape. In this case, the owner used a jigsaw. Applying the cut out blanks and finished bars, the frame was laid out.
A screwdriver with self-tapping screws for wood was used as a fastening material. The resulting through holes, they arose as a result of the assembly, they decided to sew up with solid sheets of plywood.
The second stage involved the creation of a form: upholstery with foam rubber, the formation of a soft filler. A simple foam rubber fabric was used as a substrate, thick plates of solid foam rubber material began to be laid on it.
With the help of a stapler, the whole work did not take long.
Upholstery and covering with leatherette gave the sofa a special charm. At first glance, it seems that this item has a factory origin, and the chic black color highlights the individual taste of the apartment owners.
There are two recreation areas: the opportunity to just sit, and a full-fledged sleeping place, which was organized thanks to a retractable island.
There are original decorative elements, they are made in the form of wooden inserts painted in the color of the upholstery. It seems to be a trifle, but it looks tasteful.
Massive retracts form the entire shape of the sofa, which fits perfectly into the created interior.
