A Soviet-style room turned into a normal modern nursery

This repair epic began spontaneously: a child appeared in the family, and repairs had to be done urgently. The whole problem was that the room had a completely Soviet interior with the spirit of the past.

This is how the room looked before the start of the renovation:

Transforming this space and changing its functional purpose was a rather difficult problem, but the owners coped with it one hundred percent.

Naturally, it all started with the dismantling of old finishing materials. The work took several days. First of all, a new plastic window was installed, it immediately transformed the future children's room: it became much brighter. The hay was plastered and prepared for wallpapering.

Light colors were chosen for the main color scheme. It is they who must change this dull Soviet reality, where a child cannot develop normally.

The wallpaper was not used very expensive, this is a rational decision: the child grows up, and in the process various kinds of pollution can occur. Replacing them will not be difficult.

Several light shades were used: the wall is made in white, which goes well with wallpaper with small patterns. The result of finishing the canopy turned out to be wonderful: the room got its own unique, light tone.

The flooring is made of laminated board with light gray shades, which successfully emphasize the light theme. This material is quite durable and easy to work with. One stationary chandelier was used for lighting. The necessary children's furniture has been installed: a bed in the form of a house, a slide for a children's set.

Among the shortcomings that parents will definitely eliminate is the lack of curtains and protection for the radiator of the battery. As curtains, you can offer a simple role of curtains, they will successfully emphasize the entire modern environment. The floor was covered with a gray rug and this is a good design solution.

Based on the foregoing, I would like to draw one conclusion: the repair tasks have been achieved, the room has received its second life. All conditions have been created for the child: cleanliness, comfort. It is immediately evident that the parents are taking care of their child.
