Cleared the old frying pan from years of soot
At my dacha there are many different dishes from the Soviet era. These are mainly pots and old cast iron pans. I decided to try one of them from years of stagnant soot, and looking ahead I can say. which I did quite well.
Of course, the frying pan did not acquire its original presentation, but it became visually much more presentable and, to be honest, it is now even pleasant to cook food in it.
Before coming to success, I suffered a few setbacks, as I decided to start experimenting with folk remedies that I read on the Internet. The most popular of these is with vinegar and baking soda.
On the advice of folk ideas, I mixed vinegar with baking soda and water. applied the resulting mixture to the outside of the pan and waited for over an hour. After that, I began to try to remove carbon deposits with an iron sponge.
Yes, there was a small effect, but so miserable that the appearance practically did not change. I do not understand why many people praise this method - it is practically useless.
The most practical way to get rid of plaque is to use perhaps the most powerful specialized tool called Shumanit. It is a chemical mixture that breaks down any plaque, grease or carbon deposits in a matter of seconds.
Before use, it is worth using protective equipment in the form of glasses and protective gloves. You also need to wear a respirator or gauze bandage, as the composition is quite caustic.
It is sold in any hardware stores, it is not very expensive, in the region of two hundred rubles per liter capacity. The method of application is simple: apply shumanite to the pan, leave it for 30 minutes and then remove the plaque with an iron sponge.
I managed to achieve the ideal effect in exactly three such procedures. As a result, many years of carbon deposits are completely removed and the pan looks almost like new.
