The device is as simple as possible, so let's get down to the analysis of homemade products. We cut the reinforcement and make such a square as in the photo, measuring 20 x 20 cm. Of course, the dimensions are optional and you can make it based on your needs.

Then we make another square from the same = the same reinforcement, only 10 centimeters more.

Now we need pieces of reinforcement 60-70 cm long to connect our squares. The larger square goes to the base of the structure, and the smaller one to the top.

Now we make a blade that will split the burned into two parts. For this, the author used a profile pipe and a metal strip. The strip is butt welded to the pipe, as shown in the photo.

Next, we sharpen one edge of the metal strip with a grinder. Can be sharpened on one side, or can be sharpened on both sides.

We install the blade inside our structure as in the photo and weld it on.

The device is ready. We put the log on the blade and on top with a good knock with a sledgehammer. The log splits in half.

I would modify the design and make two blades, cross to cross, as in the photo. This will allow you to split the pallet into 4 pieces at once.
