We made a major overhaul of the kitchen ourselves, it turned out economically and very modern

The couple moved into an apartment that they inherited from their grandmother. As far as possible, they made modern renovations. It is very expensive to update the interior of the entire home at once, besides, at this time the family needs to live somewhere. The kitchen was last renovated.

First, the walls were leveled, the window was replaced, since the kitchen is combined with a balcony. The battery was covered with a false panel so that it would not spoil the overall view of the interior. We made a two-tiered ceiling, and put wood-like tiles on the floor. The kitchen apron was trimmed with white rectangular tiles.

A corner kitchen unit was installed, a number of upper cabinets were made white, lower cabinets - black. Chose a brown wooden countertop. Built-in black appliances perfectly matched the kitchen design.

An LED strip was fixed under the top drawers. The protruding wall near the entrance to the room was decorated with white tiles, and a TV was also hung here.

A dining area was made in a free corner, leaving a small table with a glass top and two chairs. This area was supplemented with a lighting fixture. A massive dark shelf was placed on the wall near the dining area. Roll-curtains were used to decorate the window. The walls were painted with light beige paint.

Despite the fact that the renovation was inexpensive for the spouses, it turned out very atmospheric and stylish. The interior is simple, but harmonious and neat. Well-chosen colors.

The only drawback is the location of the shelf, it reduces the width of the aisle and limits the approach to the dining table. Some family members or guests may bump their heads, somehow they did not think about this moment.

For small rooms, simple stylistic directions and light colors of design are better suited.

You should not overload the interior with unnecessary interior items, the main emphasis should be on functionality and simplicity. Then you get a beautiful and laconic design.
