Made from an old CCCP cabinet a kitchen corner with built-in car acoustics

Interesting author's project. It is very important that absolutely any owner will be able to translate it into real life. With properly sharpened hands and a sense of design, this miracle is not difficult to make.

The idea to create an upholstered kitchenette came quite by accident: the old wardrobe, after repair, was decided to be thrown into a landfill, but the owner thought about it. I have long wanted to buy a corner sofa for the kitchen, but this cabinet could embody the weight of desire.

After a little thought, collecting all the necessary materials, the guy got down to work. I must say right away that the product has its own zest: a built-in speaker system, which helps to get a full thrill from relaxation.

The cabinet of the times of the USSR had a suitable configuration, which made it possible to completely assemble the main body of the future corner from its parts without hindrance. The assembly was carried out using a screwdriver and wood screws, the process did not take much time, since most of the holes coincided with the old ones.

The next step was the selection of material for the upholstery, for this we used a simple felt fabric on an artificial basis, it is perfectly diluted with dark red tones in a floral ornament.

At this stage, a construction stapler was needed, the staples of which perfectly fixed the stretched fabric on the wooden bases. The main components are ready, it remains to assemble them into a single whole.

To install the system, we performed work with a carpenter's jigsaw: holes for the speakers, which are located at the bottom, a niche for a radio tape recorder, it is located in the corner of the soft corner.

It turned out quite conveniently: there is an opportunity, without getting up, to adjust the sound, to select the desired composition. Now, there is no need to put a radio receiver or stereo in the kitchen, comfort and functionality are combined in one place.

The result is stunning: no one can believe that all this beauty is made from an old cabinet, many people think that this is a factory product. It is doubly pleasant that everything is done with our own hands. The project allowed our hero to save a lot of money, and it is very difficult to find such a furniture miracle in our modern furniture stores.
