What have I learned from recent events in the world?
The events of recent weeks around the world have made me rethink a lot. Surely each of us had a reassessment of values, the world has become different and will never be the same.
Immediately I apologize to the readers of the channel for the off-topic post, but I had to write about it. Let not everyone agree with me, but I do not expect this.
Until recently, the world around us had its own orders, rules, values. Each of us ran like a squirrel in a wheel, busy with his own problems, home, work, weekend. In the background was the usual music or the latest news bulletins. But suddenly everything changed, abruptly, unexpectedly, and not everyone was ready for this. So what has changed and what have I learned from recent events.
Personal hygiene. I’m sure that not many people followed their own hygiene as they do now. Although I work from home, I only take the dog for a walk twice and go to the nearest store once, I began to wash my hands with soap and water every hour.
Health. Never before have I thought and cared about my health as much as I do now. Yes, this is partly to blame for the media, which is mostly fanning panic. But this fear for my life made me think hard.
By the way about the media. Many media outlets are now trying to hype on this topic and raise their ratings. And since there are no ownerless media outlets and they all belong to someone, everyone is trying to pull the blanket over to their side, earning points for themselves and throwing mud at their opponents.
USA. It became quite obvious to me that America is not such a superpower. The crisis showed that this country is completely unorganized within itself, and now, using its influence, it is trying to take away even humanitarian aid from other countries.
By the way, the act of President Putin to send an airplane loaded with humanitarian aid to the United States caused bewilderment in me. Uncle Vova, who are you sending handouts to? To those who throw mud at us at every opportunity? I would also send them a couple of gifts, but I would use such postal services as "Topol M", "Yars" and "Bulava" as delivery vehicles. This is what the whole world would appreciate.
Well, I'm just kidding, of course, I'm a peace-loving person)))
China. This unique country has demonstrated to the whole world that it is better to take care of them and cherish them, otherwise China will stop a couple of its factories for a month and half of the world economy will have to retire. If China gets sick, everyone will cough.
McDonald's. It turned out that I can quite live without any fast food and trips to McDonald's. It turns out that my wife knows how to cook very tasty and eat at home is much cheaper.
European Union. That very great, mighty, friendly and united European Union turned out to be dusty. As soon as a problem arose, then everyone closed in their burrow and pulled the blanket over themselves, completely unwilling to help their neighbor. This is the very case when a friend is known in trouble. Trouble came, and Russia turned out to be a friend.
By the way, about the help from Italy. Of course, a noble gesture, you need help. But you must not forget about yourself. Although, somewhere in the depths, I have a feeling that this is not just help, it is a gesture with far-reaching consequences. Well, we'll wait and see.
The medicine. The whole world had to kneel down to understand the true value of a medical worker. Now, every doctor is worth its weight in gold and every sister counts. I hope that the powerful of this world will understand that millions need to be paid not to football players, but to doctors. And remember about our hospitals not only when trouble has come, but to be prepared for it in advance.
People. This is the most important aspect. The worldwide misfortune turned out to be a kind of litmus test that brought all my friends to clean water. Some began to row everything for themselves, sweep buckwheat from the shelves, pulling it out of their grandmothers' hands, buy up toilet paper in whole packs.
Others organized themselves into groups and began to deliver food to retirees home. One of my neighbors in the block, whom everyone considered a "nasty lady" and avoided, began to sew bandages at home and distribute them to neighbors for free. Can you imagine?
The local kids took up the courier service. Pensioners give them money and a list of groceries, and then they pull packages from the store on foot and distribute to everyone on the list. But our local princes pass by in cars and will not even offer to bring the guys with bags.
I have a relative in Ukraine, the other day I talked with him on the phone and this conversation also influenced me. I watch the news and follow how our government reacts and how it supports the people in such difficult times. It seemed to me that they were not doing enough, they could have taken better care. But after talking with a relative, I realized that here in Russia we are still covered in chocolate, compared to what is happening in Ukraine.
In conclusion, one thing I can say for sure, the world will not be the same, a lot will change radically. It will change not so much outwardly as in our heads.
Do not be discouraged, comrades compatriots, we will break through, and we have not gone through this in our lifetime. The most important thing now is to remain human and help your neighbor if he needs it.
Be healthy and take care of yourself.
