"Thanks" to the neighbors: I had to re-solder the pipes of the walled riser
Yesterday an acquaintance was flooded. He thought that there was a leak in his sanitary block, in a narrow shaft, which is covered with tiles, so he began to haphazardly cut with a grinder and smash everything, but it turned out that the water was flowing from above it was not clear from where. And while he was getting to the polypropylene riser from the 32nd pipe, he accidentally broke off an insert from the 20th pipe into his apartment. It turned out to be the sea! The water was blocked all over the riser. I had to save.
There is little space in the room, one cannot really turn around, but two had to work. A break in the pipe happened at the fitting right at the exit from the wall, and in order to re-solder everything again, it was necessary to free the riser pipe almost from floor to ceiling.
Naturally, it was impossible to simply cut off and solder a new tee, since after cutting out the old tee, the pipe was shortened and an additional piece had to be soldered.
And it was also necessary that everything coincided with the old layout. In general, I had to solder a 3/4 sleeve along the bottom, above it a new tee with a 1/2 side outlet for an apartment branches, and on top of it a piece of a new pipe 32 mm, about 50-60 cm, on the top of which there is another sleeve on 3/4.
The most interesting was the soldering of the riser pipe, which you cannot do alone, since it was necessary bend hard. One bent with all his might, so that a soldering iron went between the pipe and the coupling, the other soldered. It turned out like.
As you can see from the picture below, the composition of pipes is serious here. It was also necessary to manage to start the old pipe for one more insert, that from another apartment, and solder it to the riser through an angle of 90 degrees. The meter has not yet been put back, screwed on a flexible eyeliner.
The most offensive thing is that all this work is the result of haste, and the cause of the leak somewhere above has yet to be found and eliminated. The task here consisted only in repairing the broken-off insert, in order to later find the problematic place, from where everything was flooded.
I think the owner will handle the rest himself. But if not, then the story will continue.
