But it turns out that it is possible to lift or pump decent volumes of water without consuming energy. What is needed for this? A simple and ingenious device is a gidrotaran. When the discharge valve is opened and the air tank is filled, a decrease in pressure is created in the system, which opens the main (bump) valve with a short-term outflow of water. But this valve closes quickly and a water hammer appears. Because the liquid is not compressed - it opens the discharge valve, filling the pumping pipe. The cycle repeats itself.

And all this without electricity and electric pumps.

This technology is especially suitable for homes located near streams and rivers in mountainous areas. There, the difference in the channel is large and the water can be pumped over long distances and heights. Unfortunately, hydrotaran is not suitable for lakes and lowland rivers, where there is no height difference even by 0.5 m for hundreds of meters.
