DIY heated pebble bath mat
If you wanted to add something beautiful and unusual to the bathroom interior, you can do it by making it yourself pebble rug.
To make such a rug, you need to purchase a calibrated flat pebble (offers in large cities at a price 800-1000 rub / bag) and stick on an inexpensive rug for RUB 200 with polyurethane glue. A bag of pebbles is enough for a few rugs. Finally, we cover with polyurethane varnish for the effect of a wet stone (for gloss). We receive an exclusive product that you will not find in a store. It is also the orthopedic effect of the legs.
The size, shape, pattern, are limited by your imagination and color set of pebbles. Of course, it's always convenient to do something based on an example. Maybe photos with these examples will be useful to you. A round rug - also looks beautiful.
The last slide is like a mosaic on the tracks. I wrote about the technology of laying mosaic country paths from pebble here
Clarification about polyurethane glue. We need just one that is used as a binder for stone chips and pebbles when laying paths. This glue has good adhesion to any surface - the stones will reliably stick to the mat.
From pebble of two contrasting shades, you can lay out some image. You can play not only with color, but with the geometry of the pebble. It is better to print or draw a drawing and try to lay out pebbles on a rug on it, and then glue stone by stone. Only then proceed to filling the background of the rug with pebbles of a different shade.
If your bathroom has warm floors, then the rug will be warm and comfortable to stand on. And what if there is no warm floor? We look further:
We purchase a heated mat with moisture protection. There are such rugs in Leroy, but for some reason they cost 2 times more. We glue a pebble on it according to the selected pattern or mosaic ornament.
Choose about these waterproof rugs. Often sold in stores and organizations that offer warm floors, mats and films. The cable in the mat is protected from moisture. If there is no mechanical damage to the mat, then using it is safe. But it happens that cats like to gnaw the wiring. If you noticed this for your pet - watch the rug more carefully ...
The interior of the bathroom, decorated with pebbles, this product will complement the best. I wrote about it here
