It is cheaper to heat a house with electricity than with gas! New calculation of home heating
Nothing is so sobering with the idea of connecting the gas, as the ability to count. Mathematics is the queen of sciences.
Yaroslavl region, not at all south, in winter and -30 is. townhouse 130 sq., raised bills, for 2019: 72 thousand rubles, electricity including everything (dishwasher, washing machine, boiler, pumps, etc.) and that on average 6000 a month, of which household needs are at least 1700, plus it must be taken into account that the summer was cold, and the heating was turned on with September.
At the same time, we are engaged in gasification of the village, we have already given 180 tons. from the house only for the ShRP, plus low pressure, plus a boiler plus connection, not less than 100 tons. I think.
If gas will be heated 4 times cheaper, then the payback period is 7.2 years. So we have a bunch of expenses scattered among neighbors, for example, a project, low pressure piping, etc.
At the same time, I was building a house outside the city, I recognized the gas, so there they requested 180 thousand for the right to tie in (the pipe goes along the border of the site). Plus 40 turnkey project (by the way, the author does not have a project in the calculations, we cannot connect without it).
In total, I think it will come out under 400, so I still have a village myself with gas, and this, generally speaking, is not for everyone. The total payback rises to 13 years, at best. And this is 8% a year, and give it back immediately.
And now attention is the question, if, say, I have the opportunity to invest this money at least at 6% stupidly in a bank, then the payback horizon shifts to 40 years. It is clear that 6% is ridiculous, and if possible, investing at least 10% of gas will never pay off.
