We made repairs in the bathroom, but immediately littered it with a bunch of jars. Photo was / was
The bathroom in the apartment bought by the family on the secondary market was in poor condition. It looks like there has never been any repairs in it - just as the developers rented out the house, everything has remained since those times.
The couple set about reanimating their new home. The budget was limited, so they made it from inexpensive materials, they thought about the whole interior themselves. The head of the family did a lot with his own hands.
The bathroom is small, we chose for it a new acrylic bathtub of non-standard shape, which perfectly fit into the size of the room. The couple like the loft style - they decided to decorate the bathroom in this direction.
The main tile is gray, decorated with a concrete look. To dilute the gray, one side wall was decorated with patterned tiles.
Shower head and black faucet - typical of a loft. A wooden countertop was made on the side of the bath, on which a round, overhead sink was placed. It looks very stylish.
There is a washing machine under the table top. The floor is also paved with large concrete-look tiles.
But what spoiled the whole picture was a mirror in the form of some kind of bulging frame with shelves. A pile of various jars-flasks creates the impression of clutter, a mess.
Also, a plastic shelf between the bathtub and the washing machine enhances this sense of sloppiness and junk.
It's not entirely clear why they made a white cabinet on one wall. It is clear that household stuff for hygiene needs to be stored somewhere. But everything could have been thought out more aesthetically. For example, make a cabinet with a mirror above the sink and put all these items inside. And for shampoos, hang shelves above the bathroom itself, in the corner.
The result is a very stylish, albeit slightly gloomy renovation. But these open storage spaces and even inappropriate, in my opinion, decor items above the mirror, crossed out all the charm. And an ordinary bathroom would certainly look better than this one with broken geometric lines.
Of course, everyone sees beauty and comfort in their own way, so the main thing is that the tenant is comfortable.
❓❓❓ And what about the interior of the bathroom? What would you change?
