We bought an apartment after the old people, did a modest renovation of the kitchen, but got rid of traces of decay. Before / after photos

A young married couple bought an apartment after the old people. Elderly people for the most part prefer to save on themselves, not to mention repairs. Naturally, everything in the apartment was old and dilapidated, but the young people were ready for renovation, as they had bought housing at a very attractive price.

This was the case before the renovation:

To decorate the walls of a small kitchen, a dark-colored wallpaper was chosen, which compresses the space. The kitchen was very old, with tiles falling off in places. In general, hardly anyone would agree to live in such conditions.

The kitchen area is only 5 sq. m., it is difficult to implement original creative ideas in such a small room. We chose a neat and fashionable Scandinavian style for the interior decoration.

The facades of the kitchen unit were made white, and rectangular tiles of white color were used to decorate the kitchen apron.

The dark wood countertop goes well with the white design. Immediately, a gas stove was placed near the window; the spouses decided to abandon the hood to save money. An open shelf was hung over the stove and part of the work surface for storing kitchen utensils.

A cupboard for drying dishes was fixed above the metal sink. A washing machine was placed to the left of the kitchen entrance, hiding it in a special niche.

A refrigerator was placed in the right corner of the window, immediately behind it a place was allocated for a dining area. A small wooden table and two chairs were set up here. A laminate was laid on the floor, a lamp was fixed in the center of the ceiling.

The interior design of a small kitchen turned out to be simple and neat, shades of light colors visually expand the small space. The young spouses really liked the result, there is enough space for two.

This is not to say that this is the perfect design, but it looks quite interesting. Some details can be improved, compared to what was, the result is simply amazing.
