The second time I put the windows. And I came up with a handy trick

Previously, I mainly specialized in slopes, after installation, the "windows" threw off my order, they themselves did not want to do it. But last summer, a friend bought windows and asked to install them, after installing the doors the task did not seem difficult, I did it. And now it was the turn to renovate the windows in my country house.

Dismantling

When I first saw the prices for dismantling, then I often joked that if only I would work on it, but careful dismantling is also important.

He removed the window and sill, knocked down the old pieces of mortar that got in the way.

Installation and trick

I fixed the metal strips on the window frame to fix it, and began to install the window in the opening, but it did not want to stand, "walking" relative to the old slopes, until a simple idea came up.

On the low tide side (street side), he fastened two bars with nails, they began to play the role of stops, holding the frame in the specified dimensions relative to the outer slopes. A very good solution, it remains to set the frame vertically and horizontally in level, and then fix it.

The next step was to cut the window sill to size, set it up and secure it on the back with self-tapping screws.

It remains to moisten the walls and blow out the voids with polyurethane foam, but I forgot with what to cut the ebb, I will cut it when installing the second window.

Some will say, it's also a trick for me, two stops made of bars, but they really helped me and accelerated my work. With their help, the installation of other windows will be faster.
