How do I process pepper seeds with a syringe and chlorhexidine. Convenient and fast
It will be time to sow pepper seeds soon. In the middle lane, this procedure has been practiced since the second half of February. Basically, we grow mid-season and early varieties.
I would like to share a method of seed treatment before germination for seedlings, due to which you can save time, and it is simple and convenient.

Pepper seeds should be disinfected before germination. Especially if the material is your own or untreated by the manufacturer.
When treating seeds in a liquid solution, it is convenient to use a conventional syringe. To do this, remove the plunger from the syringe and pour the required amount of pepper seeds into the cylinder.
For disinfection, I recommend using Chlorhexidine (or potassium permanganate or hydrogen peroxide). The product can be purchased at any pharmacy.
Besides medical purposes, it can also be successfully used for seed dressing.
You need to draw a little Chlorhexidine into the syringe, shake it, make sure that the seeds are in the liquid. Then you need to leave the seeds for processing for 20-30 minutes.
Next, you need to drain the solution from the syringe, then draw up ordinary water and drain. Thus, the operation with water must be carried out up to 3 times in order to thoroughly rinse the seeds from the product.
For the rapid germination of pepper seeds, they must be kept in a warm place for several days. To do this, you can use cotton pads, on which the seeds are extracted from the syringe.
They need to be distributed over the material in one layer. Then cover the seeds on top with a second cotton pad and spray with a spray bottle.
Place the discs in a small zip bag, make a crochet hook out of a paper clip, and hang the bag next to the battery or in another warm place (near the oven).
If you have several varieties of pepper, then it is better to sign them all so as not to get confused with the names. The favorable temperature for germination of pepper is 25-28 degrees Celsius. After 3-5 days, the seeds will germinate and can be sown in the ground.
