I also have a lot to do with the slightly crazy gardeners. After the New Years and Christmas holidays, I do a thorough inspection of the seeds I have. If something is missing, I will urgently buy it.

Thus, following the plan I have drawn up, I begin to stratify the seeds of some plants already in January. It should be borne in mind that this process takes at least 2 weeks.

This year I have stratified several varieties of strawberry seeds. In mid-January, she sowed seeds so that the first harvest of berries would be in June.

How do I stratify? Everything is very simple. We need cotton pads, which must be moistened with cold water. Put the seeds on one disk, and cover them with the second.

For easy storage, I put the discs in a pack of seeds and put them on the top shelf of the refrigerator, where the temperature is slightly lower. After the due date, the seeds are ready for sowing.

In addition to strawberries, I sow seeds of celery root, which develops very slowly. If you do not grow seedlings, then you will not be able to get a harvest by simply sowing seeds in the garden, even in early spring.

Do not forget that the daylight hours in January are not so long, so you need to take care of additional lighting for seedlings.
