Does it make sense to bring black soil to your site?

Not all land owners are lucky and they have vegetable gardens with fertile soil. If the owner of the plot is not going to grow something on the ground, but only plans to arrange a green lawn there, then he does not care about soil fertility.

But, when a person dreams of setting up a vegetable garden in his own garden, which will become a good help in the economy, then he really wants the soil to be fertile enough.

If you are unlucky and even the most ordinary grass does not want to grow on your site, then you need to do something about it. Many land owners find the following solution to the problem: they bring fertile soil to the garden.

Basically, they choose black soil, which is the best option for improving fertility in your garden.
For three or even four years, the owners cannot get enough of the rich harvests harvested from the beds to which black soil was brought.

But gradually the positive effect of the brought soil goes away and again the garden ceases to bear fruit. As a result, a lot of money and effort was spent on chernozem, and good harvests are no longer repeated.

Why is this happening?

Everything is very simple. The nutrients contained in chernozem are washed out by rains and melted snow. The brought land is mixed with the soil that is available on the site.

To avoid soil depletion, organic fertilizers should be applied in the second year, after the delivery of black soil. Thus, although the soil will gradually lose nutrients that were originally contained in black soil, organic matter will enrich the soil and the harvest will be good.

If you have the opportunity to bring black soil, it is quite possible to do it. But do not forget that fertilizers should be applied annually.

Of course, your garden will not become the same as the one that has a natural black soil content, but still this option will be better than completely infertile.

Gardeners have to work very hard to achieve bountiful harvests, but the result pays for itself, if not in financially, then at least in the fact that they eat organic products that do not contain a huge amount chemicals.
