Why not plant petunia seeds before February 23rd.

Petunia is a real decoration of the garden. Every housewife wants bright, beautiful bushes to decorate the house and garden. But, unfortunately, few people manage to grow a plant from seeds.

In fact, this work is simple and it will be easy to cope with it. You can start sowing in the last days of January, and in February, but only if the seedlings are supplemented with special bicolor lamps.

If this is not possible, petunia should be sown no earlier than February 23rd.

It is worth noting that you can sow crops even in April.
For planting, you should use ready-made soil, to which be sure to add more vermiculite and perlite.

These preparations protect the soil from moisture increase and do not allow it to sour. When buying soil, you should pay attention to the color of the peat, it should be dark brown, but not as red.

Do not forget about cassettes and cups, their size should be as small as possible, about 5 by 5 cm.

First moisten the soil with hot water using a spray bottle. Do not dilute dirt in the planting container, the earth must be moistened. Tamp the soil and spread the petunia seedlings over the surface. Spray them with water again.

Remember, the seeds should never be covered with earth, they must be on the surface!

Cover the cups with seedlings with plastic, in which, using a toothpick, you need to make a couple of small holes. Send containers of seedlings to a warm place.

The next day, send the seeds to bask in the sun, return them to the place chosen for germination at night. It takes about 5 days for white petunia to emerge.

When the first shoots appear, do not remove the film. For a week, keep the sprouts under the plastic, gradually increasing the holes in the plastic.

When shoots appear, be sure to expose the pots to warm themselves in the sun.
