Small pieces of wood:DIY board products

The pallets left from under the aerated concrete can be found 1000 and 1 way of application. This is what our users have proved, guided by the principle "I will always have time to throw it out or burn it, and the thing in the household will come in handy."

In life, it happens that there is little money, but there are a lot of ideas. On the site there is always an application of the so-called. waste material. I came up with an idea - to make a firebox out of old wooden pallets for the dacha.

The user's site goes with decreasing heights. Therefore, pallets, in addition to the function of storing logs, play the role of a fence, when filled with firewood in winter, protecting the dacha from unnecessary glances.

A well-ventilated firebox is made as follows: 2 pallets are laid horizontally on special supports installed in steps, taking into account the relief of the terrain lowering. Then, on this base, pallets are placed vertically and finished sections are obtained.

In total, the user got 6 sections. It remains only to mount a wooden "ceiling" on top of the vertically standing pallets, put any roof covering, and the budget firebox is ready. How functional it is, the user tells in his comment.

Sergey Dyachuk

It turned out both cheap and convenient. The firewood remains dry. They are practically not overwhelmed by rain, except in the lower part.

In addition to the firebox, Sergey Dyachuk, having previously disassembled the pallets into boards, I made a gate out of them in the country. The structure fits into the site so well that it seems that it is a "cowboy" entrance. Also, pallet boards went to the pergola.

And these are just a couple of ways to use pallets. We are also looking at how to use old boards in the country and in the house.
You can make a budget bed out of them.

Collect the goats.

Crafting table.

Or, taking the freed pallets from under the aerated concrete blocks, put them on the scaffolding from which masonry work is being carried out and, thereby, reduce the cost of purchasing boards.

This is exactly what Viktor Borisov did, nickname on the portal victorborisov, actually building a stone house in "one helmet".

To assemble the scaffolding, I used wooden pallets left over from the stacked blocks.

Such ersatz forests are collected very quickly. You just need to buy mute boards and self-tapping screws or nails to hammer horizontal ties and flooring. In addition to masonry work, pallet platforms are also useful when working on a site or finishing premises, plastering. Another plus of this hack is that it is not a pity to sprinkle used pallets with a solution and you can leave it on the street with a light heart for the whole winter.

If wooden pallets are a real universal and practically finished product, with a dozen ways of using, then the timber and boards remaining after construction, an excellent material for any home craftsman - a person who wants to "inexpensively" make furniture or beautiful objects interior.

What to make from logs, timber and formwork remnants

Everyone who has built knows that at the end of the work there is waste from used materials. Often times, pieces of wood are thrown into the oven, but I used cut pieces to make furniture.

The blocks were cut into pieces, sanded, milled the planes and, having adjusted to one size and painted with the rest of the paint, were used as legs under the bed. These are the products.

 Here's what happened in the end.

To prevent the legs from scratching the parquet, carpet was glued from below.

Having welded a frame from a metal corner, the structure was bolted together, the remnants of the floorboard were screwed on as a flooring and finally sanded.

According to the user, the design turned out to be very strong, and most importantly - cheap, because only what was literally lying underfoot was used to build the bed. The main thing is to show your imagination and think about what can be done from "unnecessary" material.

The most interesting thing is that the user did not stop there, and after a while, having bought boards and buttons, he added a homemade back to the bed.

The total cost did not exceed $ 8,000. rub.

Also of interest is a waste bed from a portal member Pavelroma.

And furniture from the remains of the formwork from Lutsenko.

I made this furniture for the price of screws and paint. The impetus for the creation of these products became a common phenomenon - the money after the construction of the foundation ran out, and I wanted to relax on the new veranda in comfort. When there are still 2 weeks left until the paycheck, then how to do something from what is at hand, you think very quickly.

After taking an inventory of the materials left after dismantling the formwork, the user decided that from the remnants of a 10x10 cm beam, boards 150x25 mm, 100x25 mm, with traces of concrete and holes from fasteners, as well as paint, varnish and screws, you can build an excellent furniture.

To make it, the following tools were required:

  • A circular saw;
  • Electric planer and jigsaw;
  • Grinder and paint roller.
The user made the furniture together with his wife, slowly, in a week.

Moreover, getting a taste, Lutsenko decided that over time he would equip her with homemade pillows, and that's what happened in the end.

Also, everyone who is interested in the chair will need the exact dimensions of the product.

  • Height to railing 600 mm;
  • Height to seat plane 320 mm; rear seat height 270 mm, indicated by a yellow arrow;
  • Height between railings 650 mm;
  • Back height 450 mm.

In the second part of the article, we will tell you what can be done from used metal, old tires and how to turn trash into a tool.
