Why we chose metal, the nuances of installing a ramp
Spring is approaching, and then summer is at hand, it's time to think about suburban leisure. For those who cannot imagine their site without a swimming pool, FORUMHOUSE has prepared another story in the first-person publication cycle. In the family Jazzmeen inflatable the pool appeared before the house and while the construction was in progress, "roamed" around the yard. Finally, hands reached him.

My story is about building a swimming pool with a pavilion.
Pavilion selection
In winter, we began to look closely at options for what our future pavilion will be like. The options were as follows: an enlarged greenhouse, a wooden larch (ready-made), a sliding pavilion (also ready-made). The main thing in the choice of design was the presence of sliding sections. In the larch version, the sliding sections have a very small area, and the design itself was not very pleasant. The greenhouses were suitable in size, but the sliding sections had to be done by ourselves. And I also did not like the very idea of the greenhouse as a pavilion.
I even had an idea to make it ourselves from wood. But after careful study of the issue, they realized that this was impossible: the tree would begin to rot under the influence of constant moisture. It was also possible to make it out of metal on our own, but we were not ready for such labor costs.
Therefore, we opted for a finished metal pavilion.
Then they began to choose a specific manufacturer. They considered options from aluminum, from steel of various thicknesses, sliding semicircular, or rectangular. As a result, we decided on the manufacturer, design and dimensions. And they began to develop a ramp design for this pavilion.
Construction and installation of the ramp
We considered the foundation on screw piles and on flood posts. As a result, we settled on the flood posts, as it was easier and cheaper, and there was no place for screwing the screw piles: there was a pool nearby. In May 2019, we started construction of the ramp.
The design of the pillars is as follows: first, a hole of 30 cm is drilled to a depth of 1.8 m, concrete is poured 30 cm, a 160 mm plastic pipe is installed and sprinkled with sand outside. A frame made of reinforcement is installed in the pipe and concrete is poured.
After the concrete hardened, they began to make the frame of the ramp. A beam of 100 x 150 mm was used for the strapping.
A board of 50 x 150 mm was used for the logs.
The entire structure was covered with a non-washable antiseptic in 3 layers. After that, we invited a measurer from the pavilion construction company.
