Putting together a budget homemade product for working with metal

Almost every home craftsman has in his arsenal not only a purchased, but also a homemade tool. And the craving for such "creativity" is primarily due to the high cost of sophisticated equipment. Here is a member of our portal with a nickname SergeyI, instead of spending 30-50 thousand on a machine for machining aluminum, I assembled a budget analogue "on the knee"

Why you need a high-precision aluminum cut

I make all the furniture in my house myself. The question arose with the facades.
I ordered the first batch for the kitchen from MDF. And somehow I don't want to go to other rooms from MDF, again the kitchen turns out. Ordering something "fancy" is expensive. Nowadays, there are a lot of furniture facades made of aluminum profiles in catalogs. But on average, it turns out 3-3.5 thousand per m² of the facade. It also hurts.

After studying the technology, it became clear that the main difficulty when working with an aluminum profile is an even cut, clearly at an angle of 45˚. The price tag for special machines for such operations is far from the budget, 30-50 thousand. And since it has been decided to save on furniture, it means to save.

Components, assembly

It turned out almost like in the song, "I blinded him, from what was," something was gathered in the bins, for a thousand rubles I bought a grinder (angle grinder), for another 2 thousand I ordered parts to a turner. As a bed, I used the rest of the kitchen countertop, on which I assembled the "pepelats".

According to the initial idea, the focus was to be a corner welded from an aluminum profile.

But after welding, the workpiece led and the evening ceased to be languid, and the angle ceased to be 45˚. Instead of metal, this function was perfectly handled by a triangle made of chipboard, left over from the kitchen part cut out on the sizing frame.

As an adjustable stop, I attached a door hinge, and a template for drilling holes from chipboard waste.

Drilled.

Collected.

Perfect joint, indistinguishable from factory assembly.
