How the house was transformed during the second construction season: painting, decor
Someone builds and moves in one season, squeezing "Wishlist", and someone stubbornly strives for the ideal for years. The next cycle of FORUMHOUSE stories from the first person just about the second situation. Irina_Lebedeva tells how they looked for a plot and built a large house for several generations using the technology of fixed formwork.

Why did I have to hurry up with exterior decoration, instead of interior work
Close, without a fence, the neighborhood with the Chinese ended in the summer of 2016. We breathed a sigh of relief. It was necessary, of course, to clean up for a long time, but now it's even somehow easy to think about it.
With the beginning of the construction season, they began to pester us from several sides at once, so that we would be engaged in external finishing at home (this is both the local administration and the Chinese themselves), since their deadline is July 4 (and in China everything is strict: it says - done). And by this time we also had to have time to bring beauty.
I had to rent scaffolding from them to move things faster. There are flaws in the exterior decoration, but they are all caused by this rush, I hope that they are practically invisible to an external observer, and I hid my perfectionism in a distant box for now...
How it was
Scaffolding is installed only on the part of the house that is important to the Chinese, so as not to spoil the impression of their object. It would be better for us to do the interior work earlier, and the finishing after. But it turned out the way it turned out.

Since the house is on a slope, it was necessary to make a ramp (now BTI considers it a balcony, and indeed no one does not care, considering that half of the house is in the ground because of the slope and that it is impossible to live there - everything went into the living area).
My son's job. I'm proud. At the age of 12, he laid out this decorative brick himself (of course, under the guidance of his elders, but still!). The Chinese and their workers were entertained by the fact that the whole family also worked.
We pulled crosses out of the decor, sealed the seams and paint the facade. My main complaints are just about painting. When the sun goes down, the directions of the layer are visible. But it's only about 20 minutes at sunset... In general, we decided not to repaint.
What can be seen from the Chinese is painted. The veranda, not yet, the roof has not been built over the entrance, over the veranda... Much is not finished yet.
The main entrance to the house is almost completed, the veranda is finished.
This is how the house became at the end of the second year of construction. Interior decoration - plaster walls, nothing else was done.
