Standard apartments in Poland, why don't Poles have a separate kitchen?

When visiting a Pole, do not be surprised that you will not find a special room for the kitchen. We are accustomed to the kitchen occupying a special area, even if it is 3-5 square meters. But in many Polish layouts, a special section is allocated for the kitchen, the kitchen is combined with the living room. Thus, when cooking, all the aromas spread throughout the living room.

On the one hand, this option is understandable, it is better to take food in a more pleasant office environment, without a view of the gas stove, extractor hood, etc. Such meals are of a more noble character. But on the other hand, the living room becomes not very convenient for people to live, and turns into a place for spending daytime leisure. This is definitely not an option for introverts.

Renting or buying such an apartment in the presence of one more room for a married couple with children is not entirely convenient, since the living room combined with the kitchen is not suitable for children to sleep. It is better to consider apartments in Poland in the presence of one or more children from three rooms: a living room and two more rooms.

There are a number of apartment layouts with a kitchenette. Basically, such layouts are common for studio apartments, and in Polish such apartments are called cavalier. But the most surprising thing is that the absence of a separate kitchen is also inherent in apartments with a large area. The photo shows a piece of the living room. The rest and relaxation area is very pleasant, there is a kitchen set at a distance.

In old houses and in some new layouts, the kitchen has been preserved as a separate room. If you carefully set your goal, then, in principle, an apartment with a separate kitchen can be found. Therefore, everyone chooses for himself how it is convenient for whom.
