I had to renovate a newly purchased apartment in a new building and two thoughts immediately popped up in my head:

• How much does the repair cost?
• How long will this last?

There is a theory for calculating the duration of apartment renovation - you need to multiply the area of ​​the apartment by three = the number of days. In my experience, the theory works on apartments from 60 sq.m. with two bathrooms. And how much will it cost?

My name is Yana, I live in Arkhangelsk and over the past 10 years have gone through three renovations in apartments from 40 to 90 sq.m.

In 2010, we managed to meet the repair costs of 10,000 rubles per sq.m. excluding the cost of furniture. Finishing materials were used domestic and foreign, European plumbing. The first two apartments were renovated with her own design and inventions based on pictures in magazines and on the Internet. The option is not bad and economical if you have a taste and you are able to independently plan and arrange furniture. In the first days of cooperation with the designer, I realized how convenient it is. For example, according to the installed partitions of the developer in the kitchen-living room, there was not enough 30 cm at the entrance for the refrigerator, after 10 minutes I had a new wall plan for the kitchen-living room and the adjoining room. The designer moved the entrance to the kitchen, there was a place for the refrigerator, and a convenient niche for the cabinet was formed in the adjacent room.

The designer prescribed in the project the numbers of color schemes for painting and decorative plastering of walls and furniture colors, I had to tell them only to the company - the executor.

In terms of choosing furniture with a design project, I had a finished picture, I sent it to various furniture companies for e-mail and waited for the calculation of the cost, which freed me a sufficient amount of time from trips to furniture companies.

I did the same with the light, ready-made proposals were received by e-mail.

Designer renovation of the apartment cost more and in 2018 amounted to 23,000 rubles per square meter. The materials are predominantly European: tiles, plumbing, decorative plaster, baseboards, fillets, doors.

I decided to save on the cost of work and hired to carry out repairs of individuals for certain types of work: plastering walls, installation of plasterboard ceilings, plumbing wiring, electrical wiring.

As for finishing tiles, laminate, installing interior doors, I strictly contacted the company where I purchased the goods. Firstly, I had a contract with prescribed warranty obligations and deadlines for the performance of work, and secondly, these are specialists of a narrow focus and they know their business better.

For example, I bought a laminate in the "Administrator" and called their specialist for installation. The specialist found a defect in the latch of the entire laminate, all the packages I bought. In principle, the laminate snapped and my eye could not see the flaw. The master independently informed the "Manager" about the marriage, independently agreed on the removal of the laminate back to the store.

All I had to do was choose a new laminate and agree on a delivery date! Pleasantly! And how much time and nerves I would spend on this if I did it myself with my master, who would have to prove that the batch is defective.
