What is the difference between a Russian and a German village? What surprised me while traveling in Germany
Not so long ago, my husband and I traveled to Germany. We were pleasantly surprised by this trip. We visited our old friends who left Russia for Germany 5 years ago. At the time, they were budding surgeons. Now they work in the best clinic in Berlin and do not regret at all that they left their homeland. Russia could not offer them anything like young doctors, but Germany received them well. They did not have any special problems with moving to this country, perhaps with the language. They studied the language at home for three months, and the rest came with experience already here. They do not live in a city, but in a village that is located near Berlin.
We were especially surprised that there are completely different villages. If in Russia there are villages where 20-30 people live, then there the bulk of the population lives in villages. The villages are located near the city and residents get to work by car and public transport. The population of German villages reaches 5 thousand people. In Russia, this is a good city if so many people live there.
When we were traveling in the world there was a football championship. On our way, we stopped in one of the villages, and we were very amazed when a lot of people gathered in the square, they sat down comfortably and began to watch football.
There were so many people that it could be compared to our small town. People sat at tables, drank beer, and were also violently ill. Their villages resemble small towns, there are many shops and cafes, but if you need a hospital, you will have to go to the nearest town.
Of course, not all villages in Germany thrive so well, this only applies to villages that are close to the city. I was also surprised by the fact that there is absolutely no difference between people who live in the capital or in the countryside. This difference is very noticeable here, but not there.
The government of this country is doing everything to make people feel the same, whether in the village or in the city. They create jobs in villages, open up new places for leisure. By the way, almost half of urban Germans dream of moving to a village.
In Russia, few people live in the villages, agriculture is not developing at all, villages are dying. People, apart from what to drink, know nothing.
This trip left a lot of impressions. Next year we will definitely go again.
