Complete and worthy renovation of a three-room apartment almost from scratch

Have you had to renovate an apartment almost from scratch? Personally, I was pushed with such a question the year before last. I live in the city of Bryansk, not far from Moscow (400 km). We used to live in a suburban area, but due to the change of place of study, we had to look for a new apartment in the city center. Because driving for 1 hour before school is not very comfortable, you must agree.

So, we looked after a three-room apartment in the very center of the city. For you to understand, the condition of the apartment was very good and it was possible to live in it. But we decided to do the renovation. I will tell you about this now.

Window

From the very beginning, we immediately saw that the windows had not been changed to plastic ones (there were still wooden ones). The first change, the first part of the renovation, was the replacement of windows on the second day of owning a new apartment. The windows were ordered from a trusted company, quite famous in our city. Therefore, they were pleased with the result.

Floors

From the very first moment I was in the apartment, the creaking of floors began to enrage me. He was so nasty that he was ready to simply rip him out by the roots. For you to understand, the creak was everywhere. Even when the cat walked along the edge of the floor, the creak was as if an army was walking across the field. It's good that our friends had the same situation, and they suggested to us the workers. We were left with only the choice of coverage.

We settled on a silver laminate with a woodcarving pattern. It looked very nice. Laying the laminate took three days, which is pretty fast. We were satisfied with the result. And there is no squeak, and animals do not wake up at night.

Wallpaper

The next change was wallpapering. The old wallpaper was glued, probably 20 years ago. Most of them moved away from the walls. Therefore, to make the apartment and its rooms more beautiful, we went to the store. We picked up different wallpapers, some with patterns. The wallpaper in my room has a "London" theme as I really love this place. In the kitchen, hallway, second room, the wallpaper is pretty ordinary. The guest room also has an insert with black patterns. We also glued ourselves, again, we are happy with the result.

Electrician

There were very few sockets in the apartment, many of them were no longer working. In order to avoid emergencies and force majeure with electricity, we decided to change the wiring completely. There was the loudest work, after which they cleaned up all day. But the sockets worked, and the number of them was normal. It was decided to lay the wires to the future lighting through the ceiling, and more on this in the next paragraph.

Ceiling

Previously, in all apartments we pasted over the ceiling with ceiling tiles. But this time we decided to order a stretch ceiling. So to speak, to join the luxury, so to speak. Ordered on the recommendation of friends. The ceiling seemed gorgeous. And the wires were not visible. After that, we began to adjust the lighting. All rooms had chandeliers, but in mine I decided to make LED lamps from the ceiling itself. Looks even cooler! In short, stretch ceilings have sunk into my soul.

Arrangement of rooms

I want to draw your attention to the fact that all the furniture was in several rooms at the same time and constantly traveled around the apartment in connection with the work. They placed everything compactly, but so that they could quickly endure and continue working.

Now we will focus on the arrangement of rooms. I'll tell you what each room is like as a whole, and then we'll summarize.

I'll start right away with the bathroom and toilet. They are separate in our country, and to a lesser extent we dealt with them. They just decorated the bathroom, put the sink and that's it. The toilet was not touched at all.

Kitchen

We paid great attention to this particular room, since the kitchen is always very important in the life of an important person. In this apartment we decided to order a complete kitchen assembly. The refrigerator has already been purchased. We also bought a dining table and chairs. All items were selected in the same colors so that everything was in harmony.

Hallway

Regarding the hallway, they didn't bother too much either. We installed an already existing mirror, hangers for things and that's it.

First room

I live in this room, so everything was chosen according to my accounts and wishes. The main feature was the furniture. The left wall of the room consisted of an assembly: a corner cabinet, a wall shelf, a double sofa, a pencil case and a desk. I am delighted with this room, but we will not stop, we go further.

Second room

In this room, the main priority is given to the computer desk and, accordingly, the computer. Since the work is done at home, everything lies with him. I can't say anything else. The most ordinary room.

Living room

In the living room we are greeted by a cozy corner with a floor lamp. On the forest side there is a large storage wall for everything you can. The main feature is the large TV. And of course the sofa. Nice room, you can get together in the evenings and watch movies.

That's all. Let's make a small conclusion. If you suddenly think: "Should I start repairs myself?" Then I will answer you. If you are a confident person, if you set goals and always demand from yourself to achieve them, if you are ready to invest your own funds, then feel free to start this business.
