Japanese subway: when everything is in order

Only a lazy travel blogger did not talk about the Japanese metro, but when you see it with your own eyes, it is a completely different matter. To begin with, I will say that this is the second busiest subway in the world. It is too expensive to keep a car here, so everyone crawls into the subway.

I'll start from the very beginning - from the entrance. He is here literally every 300 meters, and on each of them it is detailed where and where you can get, including with transfers. The depth is not great. Most of the branches were built on the ground, and from the surface they are separated by metal sheets on which asphalt is laid. Also, the Japanese subway has many stations right on the surface.

90% of Japanese people get passes at work, so I never watched the queue for tickets. To buy a ticket, it is easier to fill up the change in the machine (yes, all at once), he will calculate it himself. For everything about everything in 10 seconds. The turnstile is always open. Doesn't hit the knees. For especially smart ones, an employee is on duty nearby. They are here, by the way, everywhere.

The next most difficult thing is to find your platform. There are about 6 crossings at each station. It is easier for a foreigner to navigate by short color symbols, like A6 or Y4. Only thanks to them I found my branch. All these "Ayugawa" and "Kyoshitomoto" fly out of the head instantly.

The platforms surprised most of all. There are clear markings on the floor. On it the Japanese stand clearly in the rows. Employees are watching everything. Nobody runs or pushes. Everything is like clockwork. The markings on the floor tell you exactly where the doors of the car will be (in practice, they are). Therefore, there is no need to run outside the door. For disabled people there is a separate landing at the beginning of the platform.

A train arrives, everyone leaves along the marked corridor again. Then, just as calmly, everyone literally rammed into the carriage, while still managing to keep their distance. I will not say that the schedule has been verified to the nearest second. The passengers are also monitored by employees.

In general, the contrast with St. Petersburg is colossal. On the other hand, I did not see a great need for such innovations in our country. In Moscow it is possible, but with our flow everything is relatively under control. The only thing I would like to get hold of the same machines for issuing tokens. Muscovites respond, does the capital require more discipline underground, or is everything going well?
