How not to spend more than 100,000 rubles on bathroom renovations

Our subscriber shared her story of bathroom renovation with us.

Our family lives in our own house, which we have been completing for 5 years already. The renovation of the bathroom was not started in any way, because it involved high costs. Finally, we decided.

In general, my husband wanted to finish building the garage and therefore allocated me 100,000 rubles for the long-awaited arrangement with the words: "do what you want with them."

I phoned several teams using advertisements on the Internet. By the way, none of them arrived on the same day: they were all busy enough and were released after 2-3 weeks. At the appointed time, the builders looked at the scope of work and assigned us an amount of 45,000 rubles. We have a combined bathroom with a total area of ​​7.5 square meters. Already here doubts arose about the reality of our venture to keep within 100,000.

Then we went to the store: we chose tiles, grout, bought glue and self-leveling floor. The check indicated the amount of 71,000 rubles. At that moment, the beloved husband said: "Well, what can I do, not for the same year."

My husband and I dreamed of a large built-in bathtub, and our dream came true. We used to have a small corner shower. The size of the room was ideal for a tub with a length of 190 cm, which was not easy to find. In all stores, the purchase of this model was possible only on order. In the end, I settled on an online store, the interaction with which went extremely well.

Then we had to buy a toilet, sink, faucets, furniture and so on. We stopped tracking the price by the middle of shopping.

The completion of the renovation was the finishing of the ceiling. We decided to make it mounted: white and glossy. The luminaires were chosen as simple ones, which did not spoil the overall visual effect at all.

As a result, we paid a little more than 200,000 rubles for the bathroom of our dreams.

My husband still does not have a garage, but he plans to fix it by next summer.
