A neighbor taught me how to sow seeds in boiling water. And the truth
My neighbor shared with me the original method of sowing seeds "in boiling water". She read the method in some old magazine, tried it in practice and was satisfied. Of course, it seemed to me interesting and I decided to experiment with a part of begonia, geranium and eustoma seeds. Indeed, almost everything has risen! I was satisfied, so I will share the information with you.
- Sowing seeds "over boiling water" is called analogous to traditional stratification in the refrigerator. This is especially important for sowing plants that have a very thick shell and therefore low germination.
- Such seeds do not need to be pre-soaked and use any growth stimulants. Hot water will do the whole thing for them, activating the processes in the kernel of the seed.
- According to information on the Internet, seedlings from hot seeds grow more actively than those planted without heat.
Moreover, there is nothing complicated here: I am writing detailed instructions.
How to plant seeds "In boiling water"
1. For sowing, you can use any soil: universal for seedlings, and homemade, and peat tablets. They need to be spilled a little with hot water, almost boiling water: the neighbor waits about 10 minutes for the water to cool down a little, and I just put the electric kettle on to 90 ° C.
2. Plant the seeds immediately.
3. Cover the plantings with foil and put on a battery so that the hot bath lasts longer - by 1-2 hours.
4. Move the container pots to a permanent place. Remove the film when sprouts appear.
