The easiest way to determine the charge of AA batteries
Hello dear visitors of my channel! Do you know how to determine the charge of AA batteries without using devices or not?
And I'm not talking about the tongue test or other exotic options, but about the most banal and simple test, where you need the batteries themselves and a hard surface. Interesting? Then let's go.
We make a test
Important. Only AA size alkaline (alkaline) batteries can be tested in this way.
So, for the test we take two finger-type batteries, one of them is fully charged, and the second is half-discharged.
And now just throw them vertically downwards from the same height minus downwards.
At the same time, as the battery, which has a full charge, remained in an upright position and practically did not bounce off the table, but the half-discharged one jumped up and fell on its side.
Do you think this is just nonsense? I disagree with you, and behind this "pampering" lies real scientific research and explanation.
How it all works
So, a series of similar experiments was carried out by American scientists and as a result, they came to the conclusion that the height of the battery's rebound from a solid surface has a real connection with the degree of its discharge.
But it is difficult to call such a test accurate, since the battery begins to actively bounce and topple over after its charge has dried up by half.
This effect occurs because zinc is oxidized in the battery. That is, inside the battery, the gel electrolyte turns into a solid state during discharge, metal spring bridges are also formed, which spring the battery from the solid surface.
Conclusion
Of course, such a method does not pretend to replace the measurement with multimeter, but as an express test it has the right to life. For example, we took two batteries, tested and realized that it is better to move these into a clock or a remote control, and it is better to insert fresh ones into a child's favorite toy.
Write in the comments how you feel about such a test and how you personally check the batteries. Also repost the article if you like it.
