With the onset of summer, we always waited for the sale of watermelons. But often the joy of buying a watermelon was clouded after we tasted it. Sometimes the watermelon came across unsweetened, sometimes not juicy, then it gives off with grass, then the half-ripe will fall.

· The first thing to start with is choosing the right site. It is very important that the landing site is sunny, but that there is no wind.

· The ideal soil for this crop is sand. We have a different soil, so we added the sand ourselves to the soil.

· We planted watermelons in seedlings. First, we took the seeds, placed them in a damp gauze and put them on the battery. When the seeds hatched, we planted them in plastic cups. The soil was acquired as usual for vegetable seedlings.

Advice: dive watermelon seedlings is not worth it!

· Cups with seedlings were placed on the windows facing south.

· It is desirable to maintain the temperature at the level of 20 degrees.

· For watering twice a week is enough.

· Our seeds usually germinate on the third day.

· When the seedlings grow and begin to branch, we take our seedlings to the dacha.

· But you shouldn't rush either, you need to make sure before planting that there is no threat of night frosts.

· Do not forget that the seedlings will grow very quickly. Therefore, leave a gap of 70 centimeters between the plants.

· Our soil is not very fertile, so we put fertilizer in the holes, which we bought at the pharmacy.

· Usually we also cover our watermelons with non-woven material, and remove it at the end of May.

· This culture is able to withstand even drought, we watered it once a week. The culture needs to be watered, but it does not like an abundance of moisture. You can water less often before the flowers appear, and then more abundantly. After the berries are full, watering is done less often.

· Also, do not forget about loosening the soil and weeding in time.
