“Dad, what are you going to do from the board. The level will be ": answered his son
Together with his sons, he began to build an extension of stone. I waited, the assistants have grown, I hasten to pass on my experience to them, and teach them wit. I needed a vertical level, I decided to show how it can be made from a plumb line.
Level from the board
I chose a more or less even floorboard, and began to cut it to get an even block, for this I ripped off the edges, and cut it evenly along the length. I used my homemade guides (their description is on the channel).
Then, I fixed the thread with a plumb line at the edge of the bar, but so the vertical cannot be obtained, since the load rests on the rib, creating an angle. I explain to my son, since something is interfering, it is necessary to remove the obstacle.
To do this, it is enough to make a groove where the load will "fall through", hastily chose it with a milling cutter, and at the same time showed the youngest how it works.
Now nothing prevents you from "catching" the vertical, you tilt the bar until the thread lies flat on the edge of the board.
The only inconvenience is that the weight on the string sways to reduce this effect, hammered in a couple of nails that limited the thread. Such a simple level, the main thing is everything turned out clearly, the son immediately caught essence. Next time I'll show him what to do if there is no long level, you probably already guessed, which method I will use for this.
