Over the years of my summer activity I have tried many different drugs and methods to increase the yield and control pests. One day slugs and caterpillars got my cabbage.

I decided on the folk method: treat it with acetic acid. I spread it by eye, tried it on my tongue. Strong! Well, everyone will die and I will have a harvest.

But the cabbage died. All. And I began to study in detail the concentration of vinegar solutions and where to apply it.

Features of the recipe

Vinegar in my house is always in the form of acetic acid. Yes, strong and dangerous liquid. Always keep it closed and away from the whole family. But for gardening work I buy 9%, table vinegar. It is safer to work with it, you have to breed it in a bucket of 10 or 5 liters, also a sprayer of 3 liters.

In addition to essence and table vinegar, I use apple cider vinegar. I spray the flowers of cherry, apple and flowering cucumbers with a weak solution, attracting beneficial insects.

Where will we apply

After a thorough study of the topic, I realized that vinegar can be used in all summer cottage works. From seed preparation to tillage for the winter. I remind you that all recipes contain 9% vinegar.

Germinating seeds

I dilute vinegar in a ratio of 1: 9 parts of water. I take water at room temperature, pour it into a plastic container with a tight lid. I put the seeds on a calico fabric.

I sprout hard seeds of carrots, parsley for a day;

· 12 hours seeds of tomato, pepper;

6-8 hours cucumbers and zucchini.

Pest control

The main use of vinegar on the site. Spraying can be done with a spray bottle. I even watered the apple trees with a broom from a bucket, for one year there was an invasion of all evil spirits on the garden.

I use a 1: 3 solution for slugs, add a little soap solution from laundry soap so that the solution does not rinse off immediately, but sticks. Good for any small insect. Caterpillars curl up and stop eating leaves for a while;

I use a large volume from aphids on trees, add 10 tablespoons to 10 liters.

· From the Colorado potato beetle I use a solution of 10 liters. water, 100 ml of vinegar and 100 g of mustard powder. I spray everything, if I know which neighbors have these red bugs;

· I use the strongest solution in the fight against ants, 1: 1. These insects regularly settle in my greenhouse. I fill in all the passages.

In the fight against insects, I noticed that the plants became less sick. Apparently the acidic environment is bad for some fungal diseases. This is how I use a product that you can buy at any grocery store. A necessary thing in the household, barbecue in the summer has not been canceled, and marinade and vinegar are practically the same thing.
