Let's learn how to properly use Baking Soda for Cucumbers, and they will reward us with healthy large vegetables.

To get delicious cucumbers, I used many folk remedies. The result was different. Everything depended on the correct use of one or another remedy. For example, baking soda.

If you don't use it according to the rules, then you won't get good cucumbers from your garden.

In my area, cucumbers grow both in the open field and in greenhouses. And in both cases, baking soda can help fight certain diseases and pests, and I also use it as a top dressing. At the same time, the rules of use are always observed.

To combat disease and pests, baking soda is used in the following recipes:

• To combat aphids. These small pests often settle on the undersides of cucumber leaves and extract juices from it. To get rid of aphids, use one of two recipes. In the first case, I put two tablespoons of ash and baking soda on a bucket of water.

In the second recipe, I add a glass of planed laundry soap to the resulting mixture. The second option is more efficient. The soap helps the product stay on the surface longer.

• Fight against powdery mildew. For five liters of water, dilute with a tablespoon of baking soda, grated or liquid soap and sunflower oil. For the best effect, I add one more aspirin tablet.

With the resulting product, I spray the leaves once a week. I repeat the procedure until the powdery mildew disappears from the cucumbers.

I use such methods of struggle both for plants in greenhouses and for those that live in the open air. In the case of aphids, the application procedure can be difficult. Insects live on the back or underside of the leaf, and you need to apply the product there.

The baking soda works for me as a top dressing too. The main thing here is not to get carried away, otherwise the cucumbers will feel bad. Every other day I water the bushes with a solution of one spoonful of soda in a bucket of water.

Do not water more often. But air dressing can be done daily, cucumbers love it. The solution is the same, a tablespoon of baking soda in a bucket of warm water.

Such dressing helps to prolong the fruiting period of cucumbers. Also, baking soda helps to reduce the percentage of empty ovaries. It's important not to overdo it with concentration. And one more piece of advice.

Cucumbers love increased air humidity. But it must be remembered that spraying is carried out when there is no bright sun in the sky, otherwise the leaves will get burned.
