I have my own secrets, which I learned from other good housewives and flower lovers. In order for the flowers to remain fresh for a very, very long time, it is necessary to take measures from the very beginning, and the point is not only in a special addition to the water, but also in providing some conditions. AND it will NOT be about aspirin, sugar, bleach at all or dishwashing liquid. I share my secrets.

I'll start from the very beginning. They gave you a bouquet. Immediately, you need to make an oblique cut and put it in a freshly washed vase with clean water. And preferably with spring water, if not, then chlorine can be filtered through a regular jug ​​"Barrier" or the like.

It is important to remember where the cut flowers should be. Bouquets without earth weaken, so they should not be placed in places of drafts and close to a radiator or other heat source. On the windowsill, from bright sunlight, they can also wither and dry right in a vase. If you noticed, in specialized flower shops all cut flowers and plants are kept in the refrigerator. Cold prolongs the life of beauty in vases.

What is impossible. Sugar is by no means recommended by color experts. It is a breeding ground for bacteria, which is sure to shorten the life of the flower. Aspirin has absolutely no effect on flowering duration.

What can and should be for some plants.

There are alcoholic flowers. Here is 20 grams of vodka per liter of water in a vase, which will perfectly revive the flowers, support and prolong the flowering period. These flowers include orchids, roses. Of indoor potted flowers, violets adore alcohol, Benjamin Ficus, Cacti, Asparagus, Monstera. But you need to remember that you cannot dip flowers into water, then pour vodka. You must first stir a weak concentration and only after 5 minutes lower the flowers into this vase.

Mineral water significantly prolongs the life of flowers in a vase and they will stay fresh for as long as possible. You can also water indoor flowers with mineral water, but within reason. It is best to first release the gases, let an open container of mineral water stand, and then water or add to the vase.

From personal experience, I have noticed that adding the ash solution to the water leaves the flowers as if they had just been cut much longer. Ash, by the way, does not deteriorate, does not sour, but at the same time nourishes with microelements. Therefore, I change such water much less often.
