Tired that Violets are rotting? Top 5 mistakes when growing gorgeous flowers

The violet was my very first plant grown from a leaf. Since then, it seemed to me that this is the most flexible, grateful and problem-free plant.

It turned out not.

As a teenager, I was seriously carried away by them and began to collect a collection of different varieties. This is where the problems began.

Their leaf edges rotted and dried out. Then it turned out that even the roots were rotting while the upper part was still blooming. Even from the middle of the outlet, from the inside, some kind of infection appeared.

I tried to save at least a leaf of especially rare varieties, but even the violets... Well, you get the idea. It was not easy, I had to look for information in libraries.

There are five main reasons that destroy your plants

1. Fungal diseases. Of course, during my first collection, no one particularly understood how important it is to treat indoor plants from infections.

I dragged from the markets and from the attendants and gray rot, and fusarium - rotting roots. Dark spots and gray patches should be checked as often as possible, and all questionable specimens should be treated with a fungicide. Quarantine is required for new plants!

Strong, healthy specimens are believed to be good at resisting infections, but overestimating your violets can be dangerous.

By the way! Before planting, be sure to spill the soil with a fungicide!

2. Watering errors. Watering with too cold water causes stains on the leaves, in which bacteria begin to multiply.

Watering, when water is on the leaf blades or remains inside the outlet, also provokes rotting of succulent leaves.

Water droplets exposed to bright light can cause sunburn with the same result. The correct way is to trickle down the side of the pot or into the tray.

3. Excess fertilizer. Overfeeding in the case of violets is dangerous, this is a plant with juicy stems and leaves, therefore, even fertilizers recommended for violets are best diluted by half of the table values on the package.

During the period of activity of the bush, fertilize it once every 2-3 weeks, during the rest period once a month. At this time, you can even forget about feeding, the violet will not be particularly upset.

4. Natural death is an expected process. The lower leaves on the rosette gradually die off. You can recognize them by their pale color and yellowing. If such leaves are preserved to the last, they will begin to rot and can destroy the rosette.

5. Unsuitable cookware. A pot that is too large, especially if water stagnates in it, is a risk. The roots can rot from dampness, in stagnant water not only fusarium rot can start, but also worms and whiteflies can multiply. Saintpaulias need good drainage.

Tip: You can maintain humidity not by abundant watering, but by placing pebbles or moss on a pallet, which evaporate moisture as needed.
