How to install a concrete ring in the ground without a tractor: even one person can do it!

Sometimes you need to equip a septic tank of concrete rings in a place where construction equipment cannot drive. This is often a problem in old yards. In this case, you will have to resort to a life hack that will allow you to immerse concrete rings in the ground without a winch, tractor or any other special devices. How to do it - read on. The process is simple and as the main inventory you will need: a short bayonet shovel (ideally a sapper); short shovel; metal buckets; rope; scrap; ladder. The set of tools depends on the soil where the work will be done. If the land is "stitched" or abounds in tree roots, an ax and a hacksaw will come in handy.

How to do the work

Dig a hole ⅓ from the height of the ring. Roll up the ring (it is better to do this operation together) and lower it into the pit. Next, the most time-consuming process begins - excavation. It is produced with short shovels inside the ring. That is, one person gets inside, digs, and throws the soil out. The soil is first removed from the center of the ring, and then from under its edges.

First you need to dig one side, and then the opposite. Here, the main thing is not to allow a height difference of more than 10 cm. The first ring must be aligned so that it is free of distortion. The skew is not critical for one ring, but if it skews the column, gaps may appear and it will be very difficult to align the rings under their weight.

Sink the first ring until the top of the ring is level with the ground. Next, put a second ring on it and form a column. When the top is level with the ground, place the third ring, and so on. At the end of the work, fill the gap between the well and the pit with sand, spill it with water and tamp it. If you have to install more than three rings, you will need the help of a second person who will lift the buckets of soil.
