In the landscape design of my small garden, petunias have a special place - I grow them in several flowerbeds at once, unable to resist the varietal variety!

But in order for lilac and the tones of the starry sky, red, snow-white and many others to bloom luxuriously, serious fertilizers are required.

Of course, you can buy in a specialized store, but if you count how much is needed for a garden, it turns out to be very expensive! Therefore, after studying a certain amount of scientific literature on botany and consulting with experienced flower growers, I figured out what kind of folk dressing would provide my beauties petunias with everything they needed.

The secret of blooming petunias of all varieties is in nettles! You always need to take young plants, I cut off the shoots along with the leaves and then coarsely chop them with a knife. Naturally, you need to do all the work with gloves!

Collect enough nettles to fill the container 2/3 of its volume. This can be a large plastic container, an ordinary metal bucket or a wooden barrel.

I fill the densely packed plant mass with warm water almost to the top, and also add a crust of bread or a little yeast. Because due to them, the fermentation process necessary for the preparation of fertilizer will go much more intensively.

I close the container with a lid - so that dirt does not get in and everything ferments correctly. And it should stand warm, you can simply - put it on the street under the sun.

You need to wait 7-10 days for the product to be ready and stir everything twice a day so that the accumulated gases come out of the container. Over time, the liquid will darken and begin to smell bad, and I determine the readiness of the product by the appearance of foam.

For maximum efficiency, that is, luxurious flowering of petunias, I use the infusion for root watering 2-3 times a month, spending 0.5-1 liters of liquid for each plant. And we are talking about a diluted product - I reduce its concentration with pure water in proportions of 1 to 10.

At first I was perplexed - why is nettle so good? And then I found out that, in principle, it is applicable to many things on the backyard - from flowers to vegetables.

This herb contains vitamins (B3, C, B1, A, K) and minerals (calcium, sodium, phosphorus, boron, iron), as well as tannins and phytoncides.

All this contributes to the formation of buds, the production of coloring pigments for petals of petunias and long flowering.
