How to equip a cabinet with additional shelves without resorting to the help of specialists.

During the operation of the cabinet sometimes you begin to understand that its internal space is not very conveniently organized.

It seems that there is enough space in the closet, but there are few things.

Then most often the thought of the need arises install additional shelves.

Of course, this can be done easily if you turn to specialists. They will make measurements, prepare materials, and install shelves.

But this pleasure is not cheap.

Why overpay after all, equipping the cabinet with additional shelves on your own is not so difficult. How? Consider below.

In our case, in the wardrobe, initially a bar for baby clothes was installed.

As it turned out, this decision was wrong. There were not many hangers with things on the barbell, but most of the space was empty.

Then it was it was decided to equip additional shelves instead of the bar.

The first step was to take the dimensions (width and depth).

Important! It is better to make the width of the shelf less than the width of the cabinet by 1 mm, so it will be easier to install it.

And the depth of the shelf should exactly match the depth of the cabinet or be slightly less. Otherwise, the cabinet doors may not close tightly.

Having an idea of ​​the required dimensions, we went to the popular L. Merlin hardware store.

There are sold finished laminated chipboard sheets with an edge. They bought one of them.

Also in this store there is an opportunity to cut sheets of chipboard to the desired size.

Inflicted on him markup and using a jigsaw sawed off the shelves according to the required dimensions.

Then marked places on the walls of the cabinetwhere the shelf will be mounted, retreating from the edge 5 cm.

Then using self-tapping screws fixed metal corners.

A shelf was put on top of them and it was also fixed.

And the metal corners were closed with decorative plugs. It turned out, of course, imperfect, but quite functional.
