There is no more joy for the gardener than to see the results of his labor in the form of bountiful and high-quality harvests. A simple, affordable and effective remedy - baker's yeast - will help to grow tasty and beautiful fruits, like in the picture from a garden magazine.

It turns out that they are used not only in cooking, but also as a means for feeding and protecting plants.

I first heard about feeding vegetables with yeast several years ago. This method interested me very much, since when growing various crops in my garden, I try to use food and plant protection products that are safe for human health.

Moreover, the method turned out to be really cheap: I found a point on the market where you can buy yeast at a reduced price, the shelf life of which is coming to an end.

In addition to the fact that yeast as a top dressing is a very budgetary tool, it also has a number of advantages:

1. Yeast acts as an active growth stimulant.

2. The yeast solution promotes root formation. This remedy is especially effective for plant transplantation.

3. Plants acquire immunity from diseases, become stronger and more resilient.

4. The use of yeast when growing seedlings helps to cope with pulling and relieves stress during transplanting.

5. When foliar feeding with yeast solution, simultaneous protection from diseases occurs.

I decided to test the effectiveness of yeast fertilizer on strawberries, which were just entering the budding phase.

And the result was on the face - the flowering was plentiful, a lot of ovary was formed, and the fruits pleased with their large size and excellent taste.

To get the most out of using yeast in your garden, you also need to know some rules:

· The land needs to be well filled with compost, manure and other plant residues, since yeast significantly accelerates the process of decomposition of organic matter;

· Yeast infusion must be brought into a warm earth, otherwise the yeast simply will not work;

As a result of the fermentation process, large amounts of potassium are absorbed, therefore, wood ash (or mineral complexes with potassium) must be added to the yeast solution;

· You need to use yeast fertilizer twice: in the spring to simulate the growth of green mass and during transplantation, and then repeat after 14 days.

It is very easy to prepare a yeast solution. Stir a kilogram of pressed yeast in a bucket of water with a temperature of 37-38 degrees, add a glass of sugar and leave to ferment for 6-8 hours.

Then dilute a half-liter jar of yeast concentrate with a bucket of water and water the plants.

I recommend trying this simple and cheap way to feed your plants and enjoy a great DIY harvest.
