How the passion for flowers helped solve the problem with the house
Our subscriber shared his story of dreams.
When a few years ago I had to buy an old house, I wanted to quickly carry out a major overhaul of the entire structure and, at least for a few years, forget this topic. But, as they say: "We assume, and God disposes." The house, seemingly inexpensive in price, ate up all the savings. The used car went in the same direction.
The age-old Russian question arose: "What to do?" I didn't want to take out a loan and work for my uncle for five years, who had been resting all this time somewhere in the Canaries. Some redecoration was done, but the appearance of the house still left much to be desired. Other little things, like a fence in the front garden or a gazebo in front of the house, were also ashamed of their appearance when passers-by looked at them from the street.
It was necessary to come up with something until the money for repairs appeared. The way out was found unexpectedly - the passion for flowers helped.
In front of the house on the side of the street, on a large plot of land, there were several old wild pears, which did not bring much benefit. Leaving two of them, the rest removed and laid flower beds on the site, poured an alpine hill.
The old gazebo was used for firewood, and in its place, in a semicircle, up to the waist, a base was laid out of a stone-plate. On the outside, metal strips were stuck, which, closing in the center, formed a tent. Climbing roses have been planted.
A gas pipe ran right in front of the house, spoiling the view. Unfortunately, designers of various services and organizations do not always think about design and often disfigure buildings and landscapes with their work. In general, in front of the gas pipe and the house itself, there were metal rectangular frames with a plastic mesh stretched inside. Several clematis seedlings are planted along the bottom strip of the frame structure.
Regular watering and fertilization did not take long to wait, a year later a sea of flowers spilled over the entire plot. Curly roses intertwined with branches, dressing the dome of the gazebo in a bright outfit, clematis shoots closed the entire mesh space of the canopies and began to bloom together until the coldest days.
The house turned out to be reliably hidden behind this outfit, and even in winter, the carpet of rapidly growing clematis shoots masked the walls of the house.
Much later, when the house was redesigned and modernized, it was decided to leave the flowers. This section of the garden blooms not to disguise the building, but for spiritual comfort, delighting the owners, guests and just passers-by with the beauty.
