The influence of smartphones on our lives is growing every day, which cannot but affect the mental state. A study by the Harvard Business School found that about 60% of Americans literally sleep with their phone in bed.

More than half of them check their mail or received notifications at least once a night, and 10% generally do this procedure several times a night.

Such "checks" in the middle of the night have a bad effect on the state of the body and are quite capable of causing stress. Some of the respondents even developed nervousness for fear of being left without a phone at night. And the doctors called the fear of being left without a telephone "nomophobia."
